American Colors

This project marks a revolutionary change in the world of paints. For decades, the industry has sold its products in cylindrical cans, first in metal and later in plastic, but always in the same shape. One of the main limitations was that rollers couldn’t be used directly in the bucket—only brushes fit—so the paint had to be poured into a larger container.

American Colors decided to change the shape of the packaging to a rectangular version, allowing rollers to fit easily. As an additional solution, the lid can be used as a built-in tray to remove excess paint. The goal is to enhance the user experience.
